Are dogs allowed at Tamano?

We allow dogs at the Lodge, but due to the size of the Shepherd’s Hut we don’t allow dogs to stay there.

As we have farm animals around we ask that any dogs that come are always kept under control. The fields that surround us are farmed by our neighbour, if you are at all worried that your dog may chase sheep we would ask they are always kept on a lead.

What group size can you accommodate?

The Lodge can sleep 10/11.

The Shepherd’s Hut 3 (2 adults & 1 child).

Booking both is possible, if you do have a larger group.

How long does the hot tub take to heat?

It normally takes 3 to 4 hours from cold for the lodge or 2 hours for the Shepherd’s hut, depending on how diligent you are at keeping the fire going!

Can we have visitors? 

Of course, as long as they are not staying the night.

Is there WiFi? 

There is WiFi available for those staying in the Lodge. We haven’t installed WiFi in the Shepherd’s Hut, but there is 4G coverage.

Can I book for 1 night?

The minimum booking at both the Lodge and Shepherd’s Hut is 2 nights.

Can I book for Christmas and New Year?

Do I need to bring Wood for the hot tub?

You can bring your own but we supply well-seasoned logs for hot tub (and sauna if you are staying in the Lodge) which we charge an additional £30 (Lodge) or £20 (Shepherd’s Hut) if you use them.

Do I need to bring bed linen and towels?

We provided all of this. We don’t provide extra towels though, so please bring your own if you require more than 1 per person.

Can I get to the farm by public transport?

It’s possible, but may require a taxi journey! The closest train station to us is Dunblane, we are 15 minutes drive from here.
